Restroom Renovation

Although the original building renovation (2008-2010) added several handicapped accessible restrooms to the building, little was done to upgrade the existing main bathrooms. Consequently, they are still designed for children with low sinks and mirrors. 🙂

Over the last five years, due to their central location, the main restrooms have seen significant use. Although, we plan to upgrade both the main Men’s and Women’s restrooms at the main entrance to the building (and eventually the ones at the end of the Long hall) we are starting with the Women’s restroom as the stalls have begun to fail to a greater degree.  This upgrade includes the installation of water-efficient toilets and fixtures to reduce the volume of water to our aging sewer line.

This Restroom Renovation Project is possible through a grant from the Garfield County Federal Mineral Lease District to the Town of Carbondale/Third Street Center.

Let us know if you would like to help us duplicate this renovation in the other older restrooms in the building.
