MASTER PLANNING PROCESS (2015- 2016)
After 5 years of tenants and community members using the building and hundreds of meetings, events and celebrations in our community spaces, we began a Master Plan Process to determine how Third Street can be an even more vibrant community center. Our Master Planning process will explore a number of key questions, including:
- What improvements would tenants and users like to see?
- How can we improve the connectivity between the front, the Gym/Event space, and the South Lawn?
- What are the next levels of efficiency & sustainability improvements for Third Street?
After collecting a ream of ideas from tenants, we are implementing the ideas we can do now and exploring funding options for larger capital and programmatic improvements that have significant value to Third Street as the tenants and community members use the facility.
- More plants and art photos in the building
- Food/Cafe
- Improved parking
- Upgrade bathrooms
- Re-imagine the gym space as a community space for music, dance, children’s theater, presentations and conferences
